34/90 February 3, 2011

  • Plyometrics
    •  I was supposed to do Kenpo X but just feel like nothing is worth doing other than Plyometrics. If Kenpo is there to be "cardio" for me, why not just do Plyo instead and get 3xs the workout? Anyone know of a reason I should not be substituting? I substitute Core Synergistics for Yoga (because I hate it and can't hold the poses and it's so freakin long), and then substitute Plyometrics instead of doing Cardio X or Kenpo X. 
Today I ate:
  • Kashi honey square cereal mixed with granola with skim milk
  • Ham sandwich (prob should've opted for a ham salad but it was good)
  • half an apple
  • green tea
  • blueberry fat free yogurt
  • ham salad (ham, lettuce, tomato, cashew pieces)
    • Proud parent sidenote: I fixed my salad in front of  my kids who were eating pbj sandwiches and chex mix. My daughter then, seeing how yummy my salad looked, asked for salad too. And she ate most of it. (My daughter doesn't taste anything green usually.) 

  * Today was pretty good as far as eating healthy food. I could stand to eat less bread and more salad and fruit. But still... day 34 of P90X... DONE. G'nite all.

32/90 (February 1, 2011)

Ok.... sooo... I hate blogging. I have no time to do this everyday.  Our kids broke our DVD player, so I -didn't work out for 3 days, then did Plyometrics two days in a row, then break, then Core Synergistics, then break.... Now I HAVE a DVD player am back to normal.

Workouts today:
-Shoulder, Chest and Triceps (morning)
-Ab Ripper (naptime)
-Plyometrics (naptime)

Food today:
-apple slices w. peanut butter
-thai flatbread (spicy chicken, cheese, onions)
-Sunnytime Salad (lettuce, strawberries, apples, pecans, turkey, onions)
-Protein shake
-BBQ chicken
-Potato salad
-chocolate and oatmeal bunches (I know I know... unhealthy)
-LOTS of water
-blueberry yogurt (fat free)

20/90 (January 20,2011)


6:00am- KEMPO X
  • I realized Kempo X is what was up next, not Core Synergistics. Cole worked out with me, which was so fun. I'm not a HUGE fan of Kempo X now. I do get a cardio workout, but I feel awkward doing some of the moves. Oh well.
  • 3 egg whites, diced tomatoes on top of a 
  • bagel thin w/ light mayo
  • water
* Today from 9-11am I had really intense stomach pain accompanied with nausea. I'm gonna take the eggs out of my diet and see what happens tomorrow. This seems to happen only when I eat eggs.

12:00pm- LUNCH
  • salad 
  • soup
  • Ouch. This one is good. But I am so far from being able to do a pull up. I get right under the bar and put my foot on a chair and try not to push off with my foot. But I always have to push off with my foot while pulling as hard as I can. 

4:00pm- SNACK
  • orange
6:45pm- DINNER
  • pork roast
  • carrots
  • onions (all above were in a crock pot)
  • rice
  • water
* Today was good. I'm proud of myself for finishing two workouts to make up for yesterday. I regret the rice that I ate (and obviously the eggs), so no rice for me tomorrow. Tonight  before dinner the kids and I went on a walk in princess dresses. We were "going to the ball" and the little red wagon was our carriage. Leeland was the prince. So fun. Well P90X workouts 19 and 20.... CHECK. Tomorrow is Friday (cole's day off). YAY!

19/90 (January 19, 2011)


6:00am- Woke up to work out and was distracted by house and how messy I'd left it the night before. Did laundry instead and then my kids woke up.

  • 2 egg whites and diced tomatoes
  • bagel thin
  • apple juice (diluted) 
12:00am- LUNCH
  • salad (mixed greens, grilled chicken, mandarin oranges, almonds)
  • citrus green tea
* My stomach hurt again today and I was trying to trace it back to a food... eggs maybe? Intense pain (a knot in the middle of my stomach like gas pains) and nausea. Then it goes away. This time it came on around 2pm.

5:00pm- DINNER
  • bowl of grilled chicken soup
  • a few french fries (we were at Chick-fil-A)
  • water
*Cole and I were planning on working out together after the kids went to sleep since we were gone all day, and then were too exhausted. We're doing Core Synergistics together in the morning and then I'll do Legs and Back during their naptime to make up for not working out today.

18/90 (January 18, 2011)

6:30- Woke up

  • 1 cup Quaker Oat Squares

  • Doing this one in place of Yoga from now on.
  •  Half of a Grapefruit (from our backyard!)

10:00am- SNACK
  • Protein Shake (that I meant to have with breakfast
  • small Garden Salad
12:30pm- LUNCH
  • Garden Salad
  •  Fruit Smootie (yum)
  • water

17/90 (January 17,2011)

7:30am- Woke up

  • Special K fruit and yogurt cereal (my favorite)
  • water
12:00am- LUNCH
  • Vegetable soup
  • water
  • Strength workouts are weird since they don't focus on Cardio. They are so hard when you're doing them, but you don't feel exhausted afterwards and your heartrate doesn't stay up. Hopefully I'll start to see noticeable results soon.
5:00pm- DINNER (at a friends house)
  • Chicken with Rice
  • grilled Venison-dog (hotdog from venison)
  • cabbage
  • lemonade
 6-8pm- Starting financial peace class (Dave Ramsey). We need it. It will be so hard and cool to be doing a workout program and a financial program at the same time. Lots of training and self control and consistency practice.

10:00pm- SNACK
  • Protein powder
  • milk
* Need to work on getting my 2 1/2 or 3 hour snacks in. Also need to go to the grocery store and get some more fruits and veggies since I only have a grapefruit and a salad left. And need some eggs since ours went bad. Found out the hard way. Anyway. Day 17 of P90X... CHECK Good night!
